Week 6 Reflection

WHAT: This week we had Chinese students come to our class. When they were here they taught us how to say our names in chinese. Mine in Chinese is Esaih and in Chinese letters it is 以赛亚书. They also taught us how to count to 20 in chinese. At the end they sung some songs one about the boy who cried wolf and one about a chinese cartoon about three tigers. This week I also learnt that it is easy to not be cheeky. We also went to gym and learnt that Mrs Larsen is a big squeely girl.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt how to do a forward roll at gym and then stand up in a straddle. For our habit of mind gathering data through all sences, we did an activity, we discussed what sences we use in each subject.

NOW WHAT: Next week I want to push Mrs McAvoy into the foam pit. And next week I want to be on my best behaviour.

My Reading activity

In class we have been learning to retell a story in main ideas.

Isaiah’s Reading Activity

Beans!

By Patricia Grace.

Illustration’s by Andrew Burden.

Every Saturday in the winter term he bikes to town to play rugby.

On the way he doesn't get much time to look around because he is pedalling too hard.

By the time he gets to the grounds he is really puffed.

Sometimes it is cold and muddy.

After the game he has a shower.

He gets a drink from the dairy after the game.

Going home is the best part of all, getting to see all of the plants growing.

You see all sorts of people gardening.

Past all of the gardens which are about 2 kilometres from his house.

Just as he starts picking up speed he sees all of the pigs.

It is not far from his place once he has gone past the pigs.

When he gets home he leans his bike up against the tree and kicks back by the lemon tree.

The old Lady across the road says he is full of beans.
