Explore Parliament

Today I learnt about a new website called explore Parliament. We had to click on the top game, your the Prime Minister of Zilagoye and to many people are crashing the magic carpets. It is your job to make a law about magic carpet riding. In the game my name was Pinwick Lollibye. I thought that the game was exciting.

Today we learnt how to make a cool poster on a website called www.glogster.com. You can make posters about anything you want. We made posters about how to make a good comment. This is my one I hope you like it.

Week 7 Reflection

WHAT: This week we had a police officer called Constable Gray. He had a big long talk to us about what his job is and what he likes the most. After he had finished talking to us he passed around some of his weapons and other gear like his radio. He also said that he had never had to use his pepper spray or baton once in 20 years.This week we also went to Putiki marae for a Marae visit. When we went there we were welcomed on. My favourite bit at the Marae was playing the old games and the new ones and my favourite game was the game with the sticks.

SO WHAT: This week I learnt that pepper spray can go more than 5 metres which was very amazing. The other thing I learnt from Comstable Gray is that his baton folds down to a little stick. At the Marae I learnt that one of the wakas is 170 years old and was used in war.

NOW WHAT: Next week my goal is to be the best I can at everything.

Where I live

W: Wonderful bushy wildlife parks.
H: Has lots of Maraes.
A: Awesome Museums and Art Galleries.
N: Nice mayor called Annette Main.
G: Great place to live.
A: Amazing Opera House.
N: Nice caring Police department.
U: U can stay at amazing motels and hotels.
I: It has a river running through it called the
   Whanganui River. 

PMI About Rules/Laws

PLUS:
Laws keep people safe and secure and makes it a safer community.
Rules also make clubs run smoothly.
A good thing about laws is that in New Zealand we don't have the death sentence.

MINUS:
Some rules are pointless. one rule in my class is that you put your right hand up to ask a question and left to make a comment.
Some or most of the laws aren't always obeyed by everyone.
They can affect other people.

INTERESTING:
That laws aren't always obeyed.
That People protest about them all of the time.

My Hero Spirit Day

Last week we had a Spirit Day. We had to come as our hero, there was some people who didn't even come as a hero. I came as Captain Underpants. I had a red cape and my undies, every body laughed at me. After morning tea we had a parade, we had to walk in a line around and show off our costumes. Week 5 Reflection

What: This week we had a Spirit Day. We had to come as our hero. I came as Captain Underpants. After morning tea we had a parade, we had to walk in a line around and show off our costumes. This week we also had 2 tests. I got good results in the first one and okay in the second one.

So What: This week I learnt what the meaning of agony is and that its stupid to walk around in your undies.

Now What: I want to be the best I can be in everything.

Purple Cake Day

Purple Cake Day is about supporting the children who don't get a proper education and the goal is to raise $60,000 and reach out to children all over the globe.

Today we went to Room 9 to celebrate Purple Cake Day we ate purple muffins and did finger painting with purple paint. My buddys picture was a big blob.

Rules and Laws-Whats the difference?

A rule is something that must be abided by some people

A law is something that must be abided by everyone in the country and is enforced by the police and the government.

A law I know is that you are not allowed to sexualy abuse others.

If this law was never made there would be a lot of creepy criminals in the streets.
